Kriti Sanon encourages Female-Centric Films at IFFI 2024 in Goa

Kriti Sanon spoke at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 in Goa. She was featured as a speaker in a panel discussion on the theme "Empowering Change: Women Leading the Way in Cinema". She discussed her career, future aspirations, and female-driven storytelling. She praised the growing acceptance of morally complex female characters and the new wave of female writers in the industry. She encouraged women to stay curious, ask questions, and push boundaries, emphasizing the importance of diverse perspectives in reshaping narratives.
Kriti reflected on her decision to take on the challenging role of 'Mimi,' for which she received the prestigious National Award for Best Actor (Female), and also spoke about her production debut 'Do Patti' which was a double role for her. She says "I have been lucky to be a part of projects that resonate with audiences. My debut with Netflix was Mimi, and it was such a rewarding experience that opened so many doors. From acting to stepping into producing. it's been an exciting ride! What I love about platforms like Netflix is how they champion varied content that truly connects with people all over the world. It's this commitment to fresh and meaningful storytelling that made Netflix the perfect platform for me to explore my new role as a producer and keep pushing creative boundaries."
Kriti made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti alongside Tiger Shroff and has appeared in numerous films that were box-office hits.
