By being the first woman to officiate a men's international match between two ICC full members, Kim Cotton of New Zealand created history. Kim oversaw the second Twenty20 International game between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at the University Oval in Dunedin.
In a tied T20I between India and New Zealand in 2020, the 45-year-old made her debut in men's cricket as a TV umpire. She has presided over 16 women's ODIs and 44 women's T20Is. The New Zealander officiated both the 2022 Women's World Cup final (50-over) and the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup final on-field in February.
Being the first female umpire in a men's international, Claire Polosak made history in 2019 when she oversaw an ODI game between associate nations Oman and Namibia. Claire made history as the first female match official in a men's Test match when serving as the fourth umpire in the 2021–22 Border Gavaskar Trophy Test match between India and Australia in Sydney last year.
