Kargil's first-ever Female Police Station inaugurate by Ladakh DGP Jamwal

In honor of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the first ever women's police station has started its operations in the Union Territory of Ladakh, calling it a significant step towards women’s empowerment and ensuring their safety.
S D Singh Jamwal, the additional director general of police in Ladakh, officially inaugurated the police station that will handle Crimea, particularly against women. It will be a police station that will provide 24/7 safety and security to women. It will also serve as a resource center, offering advice and counseling to women in difficult circumstances.
S D Singh Jamwal also emphasized the value of women's empowerment and their active involvement in law enforcement after officially inaugurating the police station.
According to the Ladakh Police Chief, this will be an important step towards building a more diverse and safe society which will assist women to approach the police with the confidence to be treated sensitively and quickly.
It is indeed a historic development to address the issues and difficulties that women face in the region. It aims to provide a more safe and supportive environment for females in society by handling cases related to domestic violence, women's rights, harassment, and gender-specific cases.
A group of skilled and committed female police officers has been staffed at the police station who are well prepared to handle the cases involving women. The goal of the women's police station is to promote mutual respect and cooperation between the women of Kargil and the police.
