JNU to Host a Three-day Conference to Promote Women's Contribution in Science and Entrepreneurship

Jawaharlal Nehru University will host a three-day conference to highlight the contributions made by women in diverse fields of research and entrepreneurship.
According to a statement released by the university on Wednesday, the key objectives are to promote the transmission of scientific advances and outreach to women in order to achieve sustainable development.
Jitendra Singh, the union science and technology minister, will officially open the STREE2020 Conference and Expo, which will take place at the convention centre. According to the announcement, it is being organised in partnership by the JNU and Shakti, a "national movement" for women led by Vice Chancellor Santishree Pandit.
It said, "The conference's major goal is to promote women's participation in many fields of research and entrepreneurship through idea exchange, technical achievement presentations, and discussion of future possibilities.
Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be present for the last session. Highlights of the conference include presentations by three recipients of the Padma Shri award and female leaders from a range of institutions.
Young researchers and female participants will have the chance to network and communicate with numerous successful academicians and businesses during the open forum sessions, according to the institution.
"The media has the chance to investigate breaking news and feature topics pertaining to sustainability, development, gender, and entrepreneurship."
