Jhansi Minister Highlights Efforts of Women's SHGs

Excise Minister Ram Naresh Agnihotri, who also administers the Jhansi district, has approved nine projects for INR 3,000 in the region.During a meeting held here on Tuesday, INR 787.30 crore was raised. He also gave iPhones and tablets to 350 needy students.
He also addressed a fair, evaluating 24 stalls representing various women's self-help organisations. The minister praised their efforts and remarked that women in Uttar Pradesh are becoming more self-reliant.
Speaking at the event, the minister said the state's dual engine government is propelling it to the top of the rankings and serving as an example for other states around the country. He said, “the Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying for the past seven years to eradicate poverty from the country by creating job and work opportunities for all”.
Ravindra Kumar, DM Jhansi, advised students to educate more by using their smartphones and tablets in beneficial ways.
