IVCA Conclave 2024 highlights Role of Women Entrepreneurs in Economic Welfare

The 13th edition of the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Associatons's (IVCA) premier event, the IVCA Conclave 2024, was held between 26 to 27 February 2024. The IVCA is a major industry association in India for alternative assets. It is a significant event in India's economy that highlights the role of women entrepreneurs in driving economic success. Stakeholders and other leaders come together to promote credit accessibility and gender inclusivity that makes the way for a new era of growth. The Taj Lands End in Mumbai has organized this prestigious event. The event witnessed a panel of delegates who discussed the financial strides made to empower women entrepreneurs specifically in the less urban areas of India.

The panel discussion had some esteemed directors including Sivasubramanian Ramann the Chairman and Managing Director of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) mention their commitment to offering Rs. 9,800 crores. This initiative has already provided Rs. 56,00 crore for employee generation and overall economic growth. She further mentioned offering around 2 lakh loans to 75 per cent of women borrowers for female-led growth.

The conclave highlighted the need for India's economic welfare in the coming period. The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) would be offered Rs. 30 trillion in the next 3 to 4 years. This will drive potential growth for entrepreneurial households and the integration of credit flow.
