The iTV Network is pleased to announce the debut of the new multi-media vertical "We Women Want," which is created by, for, and about women. "We Women Want" aims to recognise the contributions of outstanding women, promote female leaders in India, and engage cross-generational talks about problems that concern them through various social media platforms and online and offline facilities.

Renowned fashion designers Rina Dhaka and Anjul Bhandari are featured in the inaugural episode, which premieres on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, in conversation with Priya Sahgal, senior executive editor of the iTV Network.

Sharing insight on the show, Priya Sahgal says “We Women Want is a show for women and by women where you will be a part of some intense conversations as our panelists talk about issues that every woman faces at some point or the other. We will talk about not just the success stories but also the everyday struggles that try to defy us but end up defining us.”

A working mother who is also a fashion designer, Rina Dhaka shares snippets of her personal and professional life in Episode 1. Rina says, “cancer as a disease isn’t a hassle, but the treatment is the biggest shock. Mentally it’s a lot of work because you’re really with the fear of death.” Rina Dhaka, who has worked in the fashion industry since the 1980s, is open about her battle to establish herself worldwide as well as the guilt, regrets, and accomplishments of a career woman.

Despite being a newbie, Anjul Bhandari has managed to carve out a commendable niche. She quit school in class 10 to start a family, then went on to dress Bollywood's top stars and starry-eyed brides. Drawing from her life experience, Anjul says, “we must remember that women are ‘Agni Stree.’ Each woman by default knows how to balance everything at once.”

In addition to mentoring and peer-to-peer learning, career counselling for young women, and a forum to address frequently asked questions about higher education, careers, financial planning, health, and marriage, "We Women Want" will be a specialised multi-media service for the modern Indian woman.

We Women Want has new episodes every Saturday at 7:30 PM on NewsX and 3:30 PM on India News. The show will also be live-streamed on a number of popular OTT services, including DailyHunt, Zee5, MX Player, ShemarooMe, Watcho, Mzaalo, Jio TV, Tata Play, and PayTm livestreams.
