There were 1,578 job offers issued to Indian School of Business students by recruitment firms, despite the uncertain global economy and the anticipated slowdown (ISB). On December 21, the business school reported that a lot of hiring took place during the recently finished placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) Class of 2023.
According to ISB, up to 73% of those placed were able to change functions, and 79% transferred to a new industry, taking significant steps toward establishing careers of their choosing. The average yearly acceptable CTC (cost to company), which increased by 2.5 times from the pre-ISB average of Rs 13.39 lakh, was Rs 34.21 lakh.
The leading industries in terms of offers were consulting, IT/ITES/technology, BFSI, and FMCG/retail. According to the ISB, the top positions for which students received employment offers were consulting, product management, sales and marketing, and general management/leadership programmes. In addition, the companies that made proposals at the ISB had a significant presence in the supply chain and logistics, media, and entertainment industries.
With 36 international employment offers made this year, there has been evidence of recovery following the pandemic. Companies that offer leadership/general management opportunities in various functions made up more than 14% of the total offers. This year, 30 new recruiters visited the school.
According to the ISB, 36% of the PGP Class of 2023 are women, one of the highest percentages among prestigious business schools in this region. The majority of job offers—40%—went to female pupils
To keep up with the world's rapid change, ISB regularly modifies and improves its curriculum, pedagogies, and approaches. This approach empowers our students to become agile, innovative, and forward-looking. The placements of the PGP Class of 2023 have reiterated that ISB students are well ahead of the curve in taking any crisis head-on and in adding significant value to their organisations,"commented Professor Ramabhadran Thirumalai, Deputy Dean for Academic Programs at the ISB.
In keeping with its primary tenet of "One-School, Two Campuses," ISB employs an integrated approach of placements for its two campuses in Mohali and Hyderabad. The entire placements procedure was done virtually for the third year in a row.
