- The first T20I is scheduled for February 15 in Sydney
- The other T20Is will be played at Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval
The Indian women's team is to head off on a tour to Australia early next year for a tough all-format series, including a one-off Test match at the WACA in Perth in March. The tour is scheduled to be held from February 15 to March 9, comprising three T20Is and three ODIs. The first T20I will take place on February 15 in Sydney, and the other matches will be played at Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval.
The opening match of the ODI series will take place at Allan Border Field in Brisbane on February 24, followed by the matches on February 27 and March 1. Meanwhile, an isolated test will be played from March 6 to 9 at the recently redeveloped WACA Ground in Perth. Cricket Australia explained in cricket.com.au that the model, even earlier this year, made things simple for the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has hosted the day-night Ashes Test recently because it is going to undergo renovations.
Meanwhile, there is a redevelopment program for the WACA Ground as an upscale venue, which accommodates about 10,000 people, to be completed sometime later this year. The last men's Test to be played at WACA was held in February 2024 when Australia defeated South Africa by an innings and 284 runs.
As previously revealed in November last year, ICC women's future tours will start in 2025-26 and go until 2029. According to the report, as a result of BCCI rescheduling the Women's Premier League (WPL) to begin in January from 2026 onwards, Cricket Australia had to keep this series with India in February-March.
These two T20I series will start from February 15 at SCG Sydney, then go to Manuka Oval Canberra on February 19, and finalize at Adelaide Oval on February 21. The ODI series begins in Brisbane on February 24, then Hobart on February 27, then Melbourne on March 1. Ending the tour will be a one-off day-night Test from March 6 to 9 at the WACA Ground in Perth.
