Indian Women's Cricket Team arrives Dambulla for Women's Asia Cup 2024

Indian women's cricket team along with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has arrived in Dambulla, Sri Lanka for the ninth edition of Women's Asia Cup 2024, featuring eight teams in Group A alongside Pakistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Nepal, and hosts Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh in Group B.
India's campaign against UAE has been rescheduled due to the Asian Cricket Council's changes. The defending champions will now face Pakistan in a high-voltage match starting on July 19 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. India, considered to be the most successful team has won seven out of eight matches, while Bangladesh is the only other team to win the tournament. The semi-finals are scheduled on July 26, followed by the finals to be held on July 28.
The Asian Cricket Council, Sri Lanka cricket, and Indian cricketers have shared the player's images on their social media handles, traveling and preparing for India's opening Asia Cup match. India won the ODI series and One-off Test against South Africa, and concluded the T20I series with a draw, with Smriti Mandhana playing a pivotal role. The team's arrival marks the start of intensive preparation and strategy sessions.
