Indian Women Hand SA 3-0 Defeat in ODI Series

Indian women’s cricket team defeated South Africa by six wickets at Bangalore’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. With this India registers a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series against South Africa.
India was chasing a total of 216 which they scored with more than nine overs to spare. Smriti Mandhana played a winning innings scoring 90 off 83 balls. She also scored a smashing 11 boundaries. Priya Punia, in for D. Hemalatha and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also showcased commendable performances helping India register a smashing win.
South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first. Skipper Laura Wolvaardt brought in a strong start and scored a massive 61 off 57 balls with 7 boundaries in her kitty. She was supported by Tazmin Brits who registered 38 off 66 balls. The duo put 102 runs on the board but Wolvaardt lost her wicket to Arundhati Reddy. The South African batting order collapsed after that with the score being 120 for four. South Africa has put up a steady fight after that and managed to put up a score of 215.
Indian batting order showcased a splendid performance and won the match with more than nine overs to spare.
