The Indian women's squad will host World Champions Australia in December for a five-match T20I series.
The dates and venue of the series, which Cricket Australia announced as part of its men's and women's season schedules, have yet to be confirmed.
The Indian women's squad will compete at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July before facing hosts England in a white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and as many T20Is in September.
CEO of Cricket Australia, Nick Hockley, stated, "It is the start of an exciting eight months for the team that also includes a tour to India, home series against Pakistan, the opportunity to play in the Hundred and our own extended domestic season, before the T20 World Cup”.
In addition, as previously stated, the Australian men's team will travel to India in September for a three-match T20 series.
The series will act as a warm-up for the T20 World Cup, which will be hosted in Australia from October 17 to November 14.
The exact dates, on the other hand, are still to be determined. Though it will most likely be in September, since Australia will host New Zealand for an ODI series from September 6 to 11.
The Australian men's and women's T20 teams are the current world champions.
While Aaron Finch and his teammates won the championship last year and will be looking to retain it at home, their female counterparts were declared winners in 2020 after defeating India in the final.
The Australian men's team was scheduled to visit India for a full series later this year, featuring four Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is, but due to the T20 World Cup being postponed due to COVID-19, the red-ball games will instead take place in February and March next year.
The next assignment for the Indian men's team is a five-match T20 series against South Africa at home from June 9 to 19, followed by a two-T20I visit of Ireland.
On July 1, the Rohit Sharma-led team will play England in the rescheduled fifth and final Test, which was postponed last year owing to a COVID-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.
The 'Men in Blue' will then face England in a white-ball series that will include three T20s and as many ODIs.
