The Indian Army's Red Horns Division, located at Panbari camp in Lower Assam's Dhubri district, presented 50 bicycles to working women in Dhubri and Kokrajhar districts (25 bicycles each) on Sunday.

The bicycles were given away as part of Operation Sadbhavana.

According to an Indian Army officer, the project's goal was to empower working women in the Dhubri and Kokrajhar regions and alleviate their problems.

Saiyada Begum, a Dhubri district recipient, spoke on the occasion, expressing her joy and appreciation to the Indian Army and the local government.

She claims that she will now be able to attend her work on her own and finish all of her household chores.

The ceremony, which took place at the Army barracks in Panbari, drew 150 locals as well as district authorities from both districts.

Darshana Chetia, Dhubri Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), and Devajyoti Gogoi, circle officer of Bagribari in Kokrajhar district, as well as Gaon Burahs (village chiefs) from Ramsarovar village, Dolgaon village, Alamgang village, and Panbari village, were present on this occasion.

This endeavour by the Indian Army for the welfare and well-being of the residents was warmly welcomed by the locals as part of Operation Sadbhavna.

The project is intended to play a critical role in improving the link between troops and the local population.
