The Indian women's cricket team set a record by scoring their highest-ever ODI total of 435/5 against Ireland on January 15, 2025, at the Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot. The performance, powered by centuries from Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal, demonstrates India's growing dominance in international cricket and their incredible talent. The team also broke their personal best record for the highest total in ODIs in the second ODI.
Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal led India to a remarkable ODI century, with Smriti's 135 runs off 80 balls and Rawal's 154 off 129 deliveries. This partnership of 233 runs combined 32 fours and 8 sixes was majestic. Smriti set a new record for the fastest ODI hundred by an Indian woman, surpassing Harmanpreet Kaur's previous best of 87 balls against South Africa. This marked Smriti's 10th ODI century which set a new record. She became the first Indian woman to reach double-digit centuries in the ODI format.
The Indian women's cricket team secured a historic 304-run win over Ireland in the final ODI, winning the series at home ground.
Ireland's cricket team could reach just 131 in 31.4 overs, with only four batters reaching double figures. The Indian bowlers restricted their opponent with Titas Sadhu (1-22), Sayali Satghare (1-24), Tanuja Kanwar (2-31), Deepti Sharma (3-27), Minnu Mani (1-22).
India 435/5 in 50 overs beat Ireland 131 in 31.4 overs by 304 runs.
