India Women's Hockey Team Score 3-1 Win Against NZ

Indian women’s hockey team scored a 3-1 victory against New Zealand on Sunday. With the win in its second Pool B match, the host team is still in the running for an Olympic seat. The match was being played at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
From the Indian side, Sangita Kumari (1’), Udita (12’), and Beauty Dung Dung (14’) scored fantastic goals. From the New Zealand side, Megan Hull (9’) scored the side’s maiden goal.
With this spectacular win, team India has kept their Paris 2024 Olympics dreams alive.
Out of the eight-nation tournament, the top three hockey teams will make it to the Paris 2024 Olympics. The tournament is slated to be played in France in July-August this year. The top two hockey teams from Pool A and B will make it to the semi-finals.
With Sunday’s win India, who lost the first match against the USA, is now on the third spot in Pool A with three points from two matches. New Zealand are also placed third in their pool based on goals the number of goals scored.
Going forward, India will play against Italy which is the bottom-placed team in Pool B in the final FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifiers 2024. On the other hand, New Zealand will play against the USA.
