India's Ramita wins the Junior Women's 10m Air Rifle Competition with a Gold Medal

At the International Shooting Sport Federation World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Cairo, Egypt, India's Ramita Jindal defeated China's Ying Shen 16-12 to win the title of junior world champion in the 10m Air Rifle Women Junior competition.
The highlights for India on competition day seven at the Egypt International Olympic City Shooting Range included that performance and a 1-2-3 finish in the 50m Pistol Women Junior competition, bringing India's total to 25 medals, including 10 gold, five silver, and 10 bronze medals thus far. India is still in second place to China.
The junior Olympic event gold medal match between Ramita and Ying was tied at 12-12 when Ramita finished strong with two strokes of 10.8 and 10.7 to win. She finished fourth in qualifying with a score of 629.6, but she won the ranking round with a score of 262.8 and advanced to the gold medal match against Ying, who finished second in the ranking round with a score of 262.4.
Tilottama Sen finished third in the ranking round with a score of 261.0 and earned India's second medal of the competition, a bronze. She had previously won qualification with a scorching 633.4, which is equal to the stated world record for the competition.
Yukthi Rajendra came in ninth place in the same competition with a score of 627.1, just missing qualifying. Hazel finished in 40th place with a score of 622.3, making her the fifth Indian in the field.
Indian ladies also won the 50m Pistol Junior Women event, with Divanshi taking first place with a score of 547, Varsha Singh coming in second with a score of 539, and Tiyana coming in third with a score of 523. India also finished in fourth place with a score of 521 thanks to Khushi Kapoor.
