A disappointing tour for the Indian Hockey team ended here by 0-2 against Germany, making their third consecutive defeat during the series.
Nike Lorenz and Charlotte Stapenhorst each scored once for the home team in team third and final matches. The Indian team had suffered several defeats in its previous matches against China (2-3) and Germany (1-4).
The Indian team's preparations for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games included a three-game tour of Germany. They were able to keep their opponents scoreless until the third quarter of the tour’s final game against them. But during the fourth quarter team, Germany gave a lethal attack.
India secured two penalty corners in the prior quarter but failed to convert them whereas during the third penalty corner, Germany took the lead. The Indian women's hockey team will next travel to Terassa, Spain for the Spanish Hockey Federation's 100th anniversary.
