In a First All-female staff operates passenger train in Jharkhand

The passenger train from Ranchi, Jharkhand will run 110 km and reach Tori in 2.35 hours, which will be operated by the all-female crew in honour of International Women's Day which was on Wednesday 8 March. The train carrying hundreds of passengers will cover 14 stoppages on Friday.
This programme has been conducted on Friday since on Wednesday both Women's Day and Holi were celebrated, said by an official. Nishant Kumar, Ranchi Railway Division Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) said in an interview that, the occasion of Women's Day is dedicated to women. The train was flagged off by a female officer and the whole journey was managed by the women crew members. Shreya Singh, senior divisional operation manager (Planning) flagged off the train at 8:55 a.m. from Ranchi Railway Station.
The CPRO further mentioned women empowerment and women working in every field possible. Managing the train for one day was just an example, they can manage everything on regular basis.
The train manager, loco-pilot, assistant loco-pilot, 5 persons for collecting tickets and six female workers from the railway protection force (RPF) were present on the train. They were all females and managed the entire journey with utmost security and safety.
Dipali Amrit, the loco-pilot expressed her joy by saying, women play a major role in every division of the railway department, they ensured the safety of co-passengers travelling.
