IIT Guwahati-TIH & Embassy of Israel in India organize Women Entrepreneurship Conclave

The Women Entrepreneurship Conclave, a joint effort laid between IIT Guwahati's Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) and the Embassy of Israel in India on 11 April 2024 was held at the prestigious Conference Center of IIT Guwahati. The program aims to highlight women's role in entrepreneurship and strengthen ties between India and Israel in startups.

The event was attended by esteemed delegates from academia, diplomacy, and industry including, The Ambassador of Israel to India, His Excellency, Mr. Naor Gilon, Officiating Director of IIT Guwahati, Professor Rajeev Ahuja, Head of the World's All Woman Venture Capital Fund in the US, Ms. Nava Swersky Sofer and President of FICCI FLO, Ms. Joyshree Das Verma.

A number of interesting events, keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops that centered around leveraging technology in order to advance businesses and enable female entrepreneurs to succeed in the digital age were conducted during the conclave. Professor Dr. S. K. Dwivedy, Project Director of the Technology Innovation Hub, IIT Guwahati - TIDF, highlighted the importance of the event mentioning, "The Women Entrepreneurship Conclave is an important forum to honor the accomplishments of female entrepreneurs and to foster meaningful discussions on overcoming the obstacles they face during their journey. We are honored to have such distinguished guests with us today to share their viewpoints and encourage this important cause."

The conclave, attended by Innovation Attache at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Mr. Doron Gidnoy, emphasizes the importance of women's entrepreneurship in driving innovation and economic progress, especially within the Technology Innovation Hub, IIT Guwahati.
