ICC NCW Women Empowerment Summit 2022-Deliberats on the importance of Women's Empowerment

The Indian Chamber of Commerce organised a highly senior and high-level summit to discuss the significance of women's empowerment for the advancement and growth of commerce and industry in this new India.
Aishwarya Bansal, a co-founder of Smartworld Developers, one of India's top real estate firms, opened the event with an amazing address on the current status of women in the sector. Bansal's own experience in the real estate sector and her significant contribution to the digitisation and innovation of Smartworld Developers serve as a compelling and real-world case study for the potential of women.
Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, and Dheeraj Puri, Co-Chairman of the ICC Northern Regional Council, were among the notable speakers. Representing the international scene were Mariana Pacheco, Ambassador of Colombia, Ina H. Krisnamurthi, Ambassador of Indonesia, and Pattarat Hongto, who are among the most outspoken and influential supporters of women's emancipation not only in their home nations but for all women worldwide.

Women have demonstrated their competence alongside males all around the world. Women have had to overcome numerous obstacles in every aspect of life. But despite all of these challenges, women have succeeded in a world where men predominate.
The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which was established in 1925, is the top national chamber of commerce in India. It has offices around the country, including in New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Chennai, Patna, and Ranchi. The chamber works on problems affecting Indian industry, brings them up, and offers solutions. Each year, the chamber oversees more than 200 programmes across the nation and more than 20 delegations abroad.
Many large organisations, domestic businesses, start-ups, and exporters are among the members of the chamber.
As the first organised voice of indigenous Indian Industry, the Indian Chamber of Commerce was founded by a group of visionary industrialists under the leadership of G D Birla. B M Birla, Sir Ardeshir Dalal, Sir Badridas Goenka, S P Jain, Lala Karam Chand Thapar, Russi Mody, Ashok Jain, Sanjiv Goenka, Shashwat Goenka, Rudra Chatterjee, Mayank Jalan, and Vikash Agarwal are just a few of the notable business figures who have served as the ICC's president.
