
Harshita Sehrawat Scores Gold at Women's Hammer Throw Event

Athletes from the Reliance Foundation showcased exceptional performances at the 4th Indian Open Throws Competition, which took place at the Jio Institute in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai. They collectively won eight medals, including three gold.
With a best performance of 59.08 meters, Harshita Sehrawat bagged the gold medal in the women's hammer throw competition. After giving her performance some thought, Harshita was pleased but admitted that she wished she might have gone farther. In order to improve her performance before the Federation Cup, she underlined her dedication to rigorous training in the following month.
Another gold was given to Reliance Foundation by Damneet Singh who set a season-best throw of 65.69 meters in the men's hammer throw event.
The Reliance Foundation's throws coach, Steve Lemke, commended the participants' efforts, emphasizing Harshita and Damneet's year-round consistency. He was certain that these successes would boost their spirits going into the Federation Cup. Lemke also praised the youthful javelin throwers Karishma, Gaurav, and Virendra for their encouraging performances, pointing out that the experience gained would be invaluable for their future endeavours.
The Athletics Federation of India and Reliance Foundation staged the competition, which demonstrated the range of skill among Indian throwers and gave up-and-coming sportsmen a chance to establish themselves on the national scene.
