Harmanpreet Kaur was named India's Women's ODI Captain Just Hours After Mithali Raj Announced her Retirement

Harmanpreet Kaur has been named India's women's ODI captain, just hours after Mithali Raj announced her retirement from all forms of the game.
On Wednesday, the All-India Selection Committee met to select India's squads for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Beginning June 23, India will play three T20Is and as many ODIs in Dambulla and Kandy, respectively.
India ODI squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), S Meghna, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Simran Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Pooja Vastrakar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Harleen Deol.
India T20I squad - Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma Yastika Bhatia (wk), S Meghna, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Simran Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Pooja Vastrakar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav.
Harmanpreet Kaur is an all-rounder for the Indian women's cricket team who received the Arjuna Award for Cricket from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2017.
She became the first Indian woman to strike a century in a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) match in November 2018. She became the first Indian cricketer, male or female, to participate in 100 international Twenty20 matches in October 2019, during the series against South Africa.
