GWU concludes 2-Day Cybersecurity Training Course in Alliance with Others

In a collaboration with International Telecommunication Union alongside the UAE Cybersecurity Council, General Women’s Union (GWU) has completed international training course that continued for 2 days. It was targeted at the empowerment of women in cybersecurity governance and diplomacy.

The event was held at headquarters of GWU witnessing H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), General Women’s Union Chairwoman, Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood President, and Family Development Foundation (FDF) Supreme Chairwoman chairing the course. The ‘International Programme for Training Women Trainers in the Arab Region and the World’ also brought together female participants coming from a total of 22 Arab nations and beyond.

This particular project aimed at female cybersecurity policymakers, keeping its focus on peace and security initiatives’ active professionals alongside women of technical sectors wanting to improve abilities in advancing strategic roles in cybersecurity policy and cyber diplomacy

The significance of required skills has also been discussed during the program while also emphasising on the facilitation techniques for women with an intent to becomes trainers and leaders in national cybersecurity governance realm, both in theoretical and practical. Amongst all the topics, some of them included current cybersecurity threats’ overview and AI risks’ implications during the program.
