Great Britain Defeats Indian Women's Hockey team at FIH Pro League

The Indian women's hockey team has faced a narrowly defeat at the hands of by Great Britain. Losing 2-3, this match was a part of the European leg of the FIH Pro League, played this Sunday.
Great Britain took a lead early on by bringing the score to 0-2 in their favour. However, the Indian side fought hard in the second half. A goal in the last four minutes by Sharmila Devi levelled score 2-2. But the team suffered a loss when Petter Isabelle scored a goal at the 57th minute. Watson Charlotte played a crucial role in Great Britain's win by scoring two quick goals in the match’s first quarter. Her first goal was scored in the fifth minute as a penalty stroke. Charlotte then scored another goal in the sixth minute providing Great Britain a 2-0 lead very early on in the game.
No goals were scored in the second quarter from both sides. Team India opened its score by Navneet Kaur scoring a field goal in the 34th minute when. In the 56th minute Sharmila Devi scored India’s second goal in the 56th minute, bringing it close to a draw. But the score didn’t stay tied for long. In the 57th minute Great Britain's Petter Isabelle converted a penalty corner bringing her team in the lead.
