Governor of Telangana sends out the first all-women offshore sailing expedition

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan flagged off the Army Adventure Wing Southern Command Sailing Node and the EME Sailing Association's first-ever all-women Army officers' offshore sailing expedition in Chennai. The route of the excursion is from Chennai to Vizag and back.
The Governor stated that the trip would demonstrate the strength and vitality of women commanders in the Indian Army, as well as promote sailing as a sport, as well as inspire and motivate young girls to don the olive green uniform and serve their country.
MCEME Commandant Lt.Gen. TSA Narayanan, who is also the Commodore EME Sailing Association and the head of the Laser Class and Kite Board Associations of India, congratulated the female officers for completing the rigorous training and being chosen for the voyage.
He emphasised the importance of the mission, saying that it is yet another step toward women's empowerment and continued efforts to improve the position of women commanders in the Indian Army.
Major Mukta S. Gautam of the Corps of Engineers and Military Engineers is leading the historic expedition, which includes Majors Priya Semwal, Priya Das, Rashmil Sangwan, Arpita Dwivedi, and Sanjana Mittal, as well as Captains Jyoti Singh, Malvika Rawat, Shubham Solanki, and Sonal Goyal.
