The Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders program's second cohort, chosen from more than 300 applications received in May, has been announced by Google.
The women founders program aims to provide early-stage, female-led Indian startups that are using technology to solve challenging problems with a positive impact on society with the best of Google's programs, products, people, and technology.
The program will be conducted for three months where workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities will be available for the startups in a variety of industries which will not just be limited to e-commerce, healthcare, education, and finance. Workshops on product design, leadership, and customer acquisition will be included in the program.
This is an initiative driven by Google in order to increase the representation of women in all fields of the digitally trained workforce in India, which includes entrepreneurship and professional upskilling, with the ultimate goal of making technology useful and relevant to everyone, as stated by Google.
