Through the Her&Now project, the German development agency, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), has launched its women entrepreneur networks in Manipur and Nagaland.

GIZ Her&Now will develop the Women Entrepreneur Network Nagaland (WENN), which will be sponsored by Dhriiti, the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), and Startup Nagaland in Nagaland.

“We want to create a tight-knit community and a resource for all of the state's female entrepreneurs. We want to use our collective voice to help change state policy so that women entrepreneurs are better supported.” said Elizabeth Yambem, proprietor of Dweller Teas and a founding member of the Manipur network.

The Her&Now project has been working in India since 2018 to build a more supportive environment for women-led enterprises.

Dhriiti, a non-profit organisation that works with over 800 women entrepreneurs in India's Tier II and III cities, helped start the campaign.
