Former Indian Hockey Captain Rani conducts Special Camp for Female Strikers in Odhisa

Rani Rampal, a former captain of the Indian women's hockey team is running a special training camp for female strikers at the popular Kalinga Stadium to develop a wide range of hockey talent from Odisha.
The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Center, the Hockey Association of Odisha, and the Sports and Youth Services Department have collaborated to organize this camp to support and nurture the talent of the players. The athletes from all over the state will have the chance to learn the game from one of the best strikers on the Indian women's hockey team. The camp will be held from August 14 to August 19.
The camp will consist of a total of 25 players who belong to Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Center, Panposh, SAI NCOE Bhopal, Sports Hostel, and SAI STC Sundargarh.
This camp will become a great initiative by providing opportunities for rigorous training sessions and the technical, physical, and mental aspects of the game, says Rani Rampal. She further discussed her view on the Odisha sports community. The facilities offered for sports in Odisha are top-class and extremely modern as it provides a lot of emphasis on sports, science, nutrition, and psychology.
During the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Rani led her team to the fourth position which became the highest finish at the Olympics for the Indian women's team in just 3rd appearance. Rani is the youngest hockey player in India who has ever fielded.
