Mealawe, a food-tech startup based in New Delhi, has secured $1 million in funding. The investment comes from a combination of foreign direct investment (FDI), a network of Shark Tank founders, and angel investors, as announced in a press release on Wednesday.
Mealawe plans to use this investment to expand its operations into 14 cities over the next 10 to 12 months, aiming to deliver 1 million monthly meals. This strategic move is expected to increase the company's market presence and customer base significantly.
Rupesh Kumar, founder of Mealawe, stated "Our mission is to bridge the gap in daily food access for corporate employees, students, senior citizens, and more. By focusing on organic ingredients, women-led kitchen setups, and innovative corporate solutions, we are building a sustainable ecosystem that benefits both customers and home chefs,"
Mealawe has created a corporate cafeteria management platform that allows businesses to offer high-quality meals without managing a physical cafeteria. For smaller companies without dedicated spaces, Mealawe offers a virtual cafeteria solution, ensuring employees have seamless access to meals, and simplifying food management for businesses of all sizes.
