The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) announced a partnership with MSD. In order to eradicate cervical cancer from India, the MSD will provide ground support to FOGSI's training and education of gynecologists in India. Around 150 master trainers have been trained by FOGSI so far and now it ensures to reach more gynecologists who are practicing currently.

As part of the next stage of this partnership, FOGSI plans to establish a Mahila Kavach Kendra where women and girls will be able to walk in and receive adult and HPV vaccinations. The center is scheduled to open in Pune and provide various services such as family planning, maternal health, and cancer screening. By giving women access to high-quality healthcare services, the Mahila Kavach Kendra seeks to promote their health and well-being.

To decrease the rate of cervical cancer, which is a major preventable cause of death and suffering among Indian women, the FOGSI has also called for the inclusion of the HPV vaccine in the National Program. The organization has requested that the HPV vaccine be added to the National Program of the Indian government. At the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, the FOGSI has arranged an Expert Group Meeting to talk about cervical cancer and preventative measures.

The Mahila Kavach Kendra and FOGSI's call for HPV vaccine inclusion in the National Program are positive steps towards gender equality in India's healthcare sector, promoting diversity and inclusion.
