On Saturday, the Corps of Military Police Centre and School (CMP C&S) inducted the first batch of 83 women soldiers into the Indian Army's military police at the Dronacharya Parade Ground in Bengaluru.
The attestation parade was a low-key affair with strict adherence to Covid protocol. When observing the parade, the commandant of CMP C&S complimented the newly attested women soldiers on their impeccable drill.
He congratulated them on completing 61 weeks of intensive training in areas such as basic military training, provost training, policing duties, prisoner of war management, ceremonial duties, skill development such as driving, vehicle repair, and signal communications.
The commandant expressed his trust that the training they received and the expectations they met would serve them well in their new units, which would be stationed across the country in various terrains and operational conditions.
“The Corps of Military Police Centre & School (CMP C &S) at #Bengaluru held the attestation parade of the first batch of 83 #Women soldiers at the #Dronacharya Parade Ground. We welcome these valiant Soldiers to the #IndianArmy,” tweeted Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG-PI), Indian Army.
