FIFA organizes Women's Football Coach Workshop in Kolkata

FIFA is launching a women's football coach workshop in Kolkata from September 16 to September 18, 2024, in order to develop tactical expertise, leadership, and training methodologies for women's football. The event aligns with FIFA's global strategy for gender equality and women's sports growth. Participants will learn from experts and collaborate with peers, focusing on women's leadership roles in the sport.
FIFA experts Simon Toselli and Stephanie Spielmann will lead a workshop on the FIFA Women's League Development at the AIFF National Centre of Excellence (NCE) in Kolkata. The workshop will be attended by Indian women's national teams coaches, IWL, and IWL 2 clubs, and will feature theoretical sessions, practical field sessions, and breakout sessions for competitive development.
FIFA technical expert Simon Toselli has conducted a strategy workshop in New Delhi, focusing on women's football. He has collaborated with 25 countries across various confederations AFC, OFC, CAF, and UEFA, and has conducted workshops and strategy sessions to enhance women's development programs and provide technical support to improve the quality of women's football globally, creating more opportunities and improving game standards.
Stéphanie Spielmann, a former player and UEFA A-License coach, is a seasoned FIFA and Oceanic Football Confederation (OFC) instructor with extensive experience in women's football. She has coached senior, U19, and U16 teams in Tahiti and served as the Women's Football Development Officer.
