A group of 100 female business owners from FLO, the women's division of FICCI (the Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industries), went to the Kochi Muziris Biennale to examine the wide range of modern art.
The group, under the direction of Chairperson Jayshree Menon, had a life-changing experience and greatly benefited from the aesthetic value of the provocative works on display at the Fort Kochi Aspinwall House.
Originally from Kollengode, Palakkad, but now residing in Bengaluru, Jayshree Menon stated that the purpose of the visit was to empower women in the field of art education.
The rich concepts provided here will have an impact on the members of FLO, which oversees numerous charitable organisations, and they will be motivated to strive for society's advancement as a result, she added.
Such pieces of art enable the viewer to discover meaning at levels outside the realm of thought. It is a great experience in life, according to Jayshree, the owner of a content and publication company, that such a varied display of art is taking place in her own nation. The group was directed by Jayshree Menon in addition to Divya Pooniya, FLO's secretary, and Payal, its treasurer.
T.S. Prasad, Director of the "Sandeep and Gitanjali Maini Foundation," Bengaluru, organised the FLO delegation's visit with a focus on art, heritage, and culture. The foundation, which also operates a gallery, has a programme to educate people about modern art.
The FLO members' visit was planned as part of this effort. According to T.S. Prasad, "the visit will provide the Biennale and the participating artists with support and opportunity at numerous levels."
Children from Yellow Train School, Mudalipalayam, Coimbatore, as well as Dr. A. Jayathilak, Additional Chief Secretary, Simone Joseph, an art advisor from New York, and Dr. Joseph, an artist, also paid a visit to the Biennale.
