FICCI Ladies Organization Uttarakhand Organises the First Meeting of Women Entrepreneurs in State

The inaugural gathering of women entrepreneurs in Uttarakhand was hosted by FICCI Ladies Organization Uttarakhand at WIC India, Dehradun. Runway Incubator served as the event's sponsor, and UPES served as its knowledge partner. Around 100 women business owners from varied entrepreneurial backgrounds attended the event.
The primary goal of this gathering was to raise awareness of the possibilities available to women in Uttarakhand for starting and expanding their own businesses and adding to the local labour force. Additionally, it will support the empowerment of aspiring and established female entrepreneurs who want to launch, manage, and expand their businesses as well as the creation of favourable conditions for inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economies.
Commenting on the occasion Dr. Neha Sharma, Chairperson, FICCI Ladies Organization Uttarakhand said, “We are elated to kickstart the first program under the much thought after FLO Startup Cell. Our aim is to empower the women entrepreneurs of Uttarakhand by giving them the right platform and opportunities. We are the facilitator between the government and the talented women entrepreneurs of our State. We will provide them all the necessary help to make their entrepreneurial journey a successful one.”
Women's empowerment will only take place if we encourage more women to pursue business, according to Rahul Narvekar, serial entrepreneur and event speaker.
“Women entrepreneurship needs like minded women to come together, and we are glad to host the first such event”, added Shikha Prakash , Day Chair , Co Founder , Valley Culture.
The goal of FLO National Startup Cell is to create an ecosystem for female founders and investors. the 360-degree support for vision. The Virtual Incubator, Mentorship, Government Alliances, International Collaborations, and FLO Angels are the five verticals under which the FLO STARTUP Cell will carry out its mission. Over 5000 women farmers are partners with the Uttarakhand-based Agritech startup Valley Culture.
Past Chair Kiran Bhatt, Senior Vice Chair Anuradha Malla, Joint Secretary Mansi Rastogi, Jt Treasurer Harpreet Kaur, and other members of the Executive Committee of the FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter were present at the ceremony. Additionally present were Prof. Rahul Naiwal, CEO of Runaway Incubation and Dean of the School of Business at UPES, as well as Prof. Ram Sharma, Pro VC of UPES.
