- FLO strongly promotes additional support to women entrepreneurs for economic upliftment to the country.
- Job initiatives under the government like Drone Didi and Ladli Behen Yojana are supportive towards women.
- In the Economic Survey 2024-25, only 22 percent of MSMEs are owned by women.
FLO, FICCI Ladies Organisation an all-out front for businesswomen in the country, could literally exhort any woman who is in business to go public-that you won’t champion her but fight with other women; and going national: action by action, could lead to economic growth. Examples are upon working women-with other government schemes like Drone Didi, and Ladli Behen Yojana, etc. Besides, glaring disparity exists in the data on women's employment and entrepreneurship in India. Only 22 percent of women in MSMEs in India own such establishments, as revealed by the Economic Survey 2024-25.
As Joyshree Das Verma, the President of FLO said at the awards ceremony for the awardees who had come from the women-led MSMEs in the national capital, "This is more than a statistic; it is a call to action; a call for us to rise, support, and empower women entrepreneurs because their success is the success of our economy." "Women-led MSMEs are drivers of innovation, job creation, and economic resilience. The more we support them, the stronger our nation becomes," said Joyshree.
"This reflects the vast talent, tenacity, and ambition within our FLO network. The competition was fierce, and I would like to lay emphasis on the fact that all applicants present this evening are winners in their own right. The awards may only honor a few; but every woman who stepped up, stood against the odds, and pursued her entrepreneurial dreams is part of India's success story," said Joyshree. To break barriers and forge ahead with confidence, women are being empowered through a platform with skill development, policy advocacy, economic participation, and leadership mentoring.
