A leading actress Emma Watson has invested previously in a women’s health company called ‘Hertility’, which was undisclosed earlier. Currently, Hertility has reached a funding total of more than $14 million.
Emma has been known for her environmental interest and for supporting women-led initiatives and is also an ambassador of UN Women Goodwill. She has helped for the launch of HeForShe campaign which promotes gender equality.
Dr. Helen O’Neill, Hertility Co-founder, and CEO said that she has previously met Emma Watson through one of her investors, realizing that she is into women’s rights, making her a perfect match as an investor.
“Hertility was founded by women and focuses on women’s health — an area that historically hasn’t received enough attention or funding. By investing in a female-founded company that aims to revolutionize women’s healthcare, Watson contributes to empowering women in both business and health. It’s all about getting as many women as possible talking about their hormones and fertility and meeting them where they’re at to change behavior globally,” said Dr. Helen said.
The alliance between Emma and the company shall bring better chances and opportunities for women in the health sector. Emma’s investment shall aid the health company to benefit other women too.
