Educational Tour organized for 1100 Female Students from J-K Universities

Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Professor Umesh Rai announced that over 1,100 female students from various universities in Jammu and Kashmir would go on a trip to various locations of India under the theme "college on wheels".
This will be more of an educational tour rather than any vacation. Professor Umesh announced this on a special convocation that the students will not be charged any amount who will work on self-selected projects during the tour which will take place at the end of October or early November.
Manoj Sinha, the Lt Governor of J&K and Chancellor of the University was praised by Professor Umesh for allocating funds in advance for the "college on wheels." He stated that discussions are being made with the Navy Chief to arrange visits to INS Vikrant in Mumbai for the students and also to the shipyard and docks in Goa. The students will also visit the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, the Director will guide the students about their research labs.
According to Prof. Umesh, the ISRO chairman has also agreed to the University's proposal to let students travel to Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh and visit their station.
The students will travel by train during this journey where students can take part from various institutions and colleges from all over Jammu and Kashmir. Although the girls will be taken first in the tour. About the research work, he stated that ten students would work on the issues that people face in each location they visited under the direction of one mentor. The trains will also include libraries in two of the train bogies.
