According to a report, the iconic DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host a women's Test Match for the first time in nearly 9 years, with England scheduled to play a four-day game there from 14 December till 17 December 2023. Amol Muzumdar, who was appointed as the head coach of the Indian Women's team, will be preparing for the first series.

Team England will visit India in December for three T20Is and a Test. The T20Is will be played at the Wankhede Stadium on December 6, 9, and 10, with back-to-back weekend games in an attempt to maximize the audiences, and the Test match will be held at the DY Patil Stadium from 14 December.

The tour will include an England A series in Mumbai, likely consisting of three T20s, but date confirmations are pending final sign-off and will be announced soon by the BCCI.

England women's team last visited India in 2019, losing 2-1 in ODI but winning a T20I series in Guwahati. Maharashtra has become a hub for women's cricketers, playing the first season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

Australian Women's team will visit India, playing Test and ODI Games at Wankhede and T20Is at DY Patil Stadium. India last played a Test in 2005, and played their first Test in 2014, drawing in England and Australia.
