Despite Diversity Efforts, Women make 21.4% Workforce at Reliance Group: Report

Reliance Group, led by business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani recently released their annual report that shows over 50 per cent of employees are under 30, with women making up only 21.4 per cent. Despite this, Reliance has been improving diversity by hiring 1,71,116 new employees in the 2023-24 financial year. The company has also engaged employees in learning and development programs, with 24 per cent of new hires being women and 98 employees on maternity leave last year have returned to work in the current financial year.
Reliance Group has 347,362 employees, with 74,317 women and 41,092 newly hired women. The company has 1,723 differently-able employees and hired 115 interns in FY24. Voluntary separations were lower in FY24 compared to FY23 which stands at 143,280, whereas 6,414 employees took paternity leave and 811 employees were on maternity leave. Reliance provided over 28.80 million person-hours of training and submitted 2,726 new ideas under Mission Kurukshetra.
The annual report reveals the company's performance, workforce demographics, and strategic initiatives. It highlights the company's focus on diversity, inclusion, and upskilling. Reliance reported significant revenue growth and healthy profit margins. The company is also committed to sustainability and CSR, reducing its carbon footprint and investing in community development programs. The giant plans to leverage technology for growth and expansion in both domestic and international markets.
