Delhivery, a logistics service provider, has opened its fourth all-women-operated hub in Mayapuri, New Delhi, demonstrating its commitment to gender diversity and empowerment. The hub will handle administration, operations, and security functions. Delhivery's headcount increased by 60 per cent in FY 2024 compared to 15 per cent in FY 2023, showcasing its strategic expansion and inclusive work environment.
The company has expanded its facilities in Moga (Punjab), Sikar (Rajasthan), and Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and has accelerated women's recruitment. Delhivery offers diverse work roles for women to participate in, including administration, operations, and security, driving battery-operated pallet trucks, and loading & unloading trucks, similar to other hubs.
Suraj Saharan, Chief People Officer and Co-founder, Delhivery mentions, "Our women recruits at various other facilities have consistently raised the bar for performance and productivity. We are confident that women colleagues at Mayapuri will only raise this further."
Delhivery offers a diverse range of logistics services across its nationwide network, covering over 18,700 pin codes, including express parcel transportation, truckload freight, cross-border, supply chain, and technology services. Delhivery's program has increased women's participation in its gateways across India, with plans to open more all-women hubs to promote gender diversity and female empowerment.
