The CII Indian Women Network released a report titled "Enhancing Women's Workforce Participation in the Indian Corporate Sector," promoting gender equality and greater workforce participation. The report was published during the 4th edition of CII Indian Women Network's Leaderpreneurship Conclave. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is working with industry stakeholders to promote women's participation in economic and community affairs through its National Committee on Women Empowerment.
In addition to mentioning the challenges that urban women deal with, the study also looks at worldwide best practices, showcases MSMEs' achievements in West Bengal, and suggests policies to promote change in response to particular workplace issues. A number of well-known business case studies of DEI projects were presented during the conclave, highlighting the potential for greater flexibility in promoting a progressive workplace culture. Parental leaves, life insurance benefits, safe travel facilities, gender sensitization, and POSH training are some of the main areas of policy suggestions.
