Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel virtually handed Rs 5.32 crore to cattle rearers, women groups, and Gauthan committees as part of the Godhan Nyay Yojana.
This includes dividend payments of Rs. 1.43 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs. 98 lakh to women's organizations as well as payment of Rs. 2.91 crores instead of 1.45 lakh quintals of cow dung acquired from March 16 to March 31.
The Chief Minister's residence office is attended by the Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, the Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, the Chief Minister's Advisor Shri Vinod Verma, the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation, Mahant Ramsunder Das, and the Special Secretary (Agriculture), Dr. Ayyaz F. Tamboli. Also, through video conferencing, Chief Minister's Advisor Shri Pradeep Sharma and RIPA State Nodal Officer Shri Gaurav Singh joined the session.
The fundamental objective of the Godhan Nyay Yojana, according to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, is to make the villages financially independent. While progress has been achieved in this area, the quick rise in the number of self-sufficient Gauthans has been particularly noteworthy.
Of the money given to cow dung traders, the self-supporting Gauthans paid themselves Rs. 1 crore, 67 lakh, while the department is paying Rs. 1 crore, 24 lakh. To encourage Gauthan committees to become self-sufficient, decided to pay the presidents of self-supporting Gauthan committees Rs. 750 per month and the member's Rs. 500 per month.
The welcome news that paddy will be acquired starting in November for 20 quintals per acre must have already reached the farmer. The farmer had been longing for this. Without a doubt, it will support the rural economy.
Furthermore extended is the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Landless agricultural labourers in Scheduled Area Nagar Panchayats and Municipalities will now benefit from this program. Agricultural labourers without land must apply by April 15 to take advantage of this program.
While there hasn't been a census since 2011, the villages have also started a socioeconomic survey as of April 1. Also, this survey will aid in finding new recipients. Also, they will be able to utilize programs like housing, gas cylinders, and restrooms.
From April 1, those who are unemployed but hold a degree have been able to apply for unemployment benefits. Students have the choice of submitting an online application for this. On the first day, more than 6000 jobless youngsters applied, and their applications were approved. I'd like to congratulate all of the farmers, cow dung dealers, herdsmen, Gauthan committees, and self-help organizations that got funding from this program.
