Chef Garima Arora Wins Second Michelin Star

Indian chef Garima Arora received her second Michelin star for her Bangkok restaurant Gaa. She is the first Indian woman to receive two Michelin stars in the restaurant industry.

Gaa, a modern Indian restaurant owned by Garima Arora, features a tasting menu that is modern but still prepared using traditional methods. The restaurant's appealing and creative fusion of Thai and Indian food has won recognition.

On December 13, 2023, the Michelin Guide Thailand Star Revelation 2024 was held. A second Michelin star was given to two restaurants, one of which is run by the Indian chef, Garima Arora. This prestigious award is frequently regarded as the greatest accolade in the culinary industry.

The Michelin Guide describes Gaa's restaurant as traditional and contemporary, reflecting Chef Garima Arora's skillful cooking. The tasting menu features street food snacks, with finely judged spicing, extraordinary flavor combinations, and texture and temperature contrasts.

Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna celebrated Garima Arora's 2 Michelin Stars in Indian cuisine and posted a short clip on his Instagram, praising the achievement as the first female Chef from India to grab this achievement. Vikas Khanna congratulated the @restaurant_gaa team for making India proud.
