Central University of South Bihar Conducts Discussion on Women Entrepreneurship

An academic discussion was held on Tuesday by the Teacher education department of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) that pointed out the challenges faced during women’s entrepreneurship with a focus on startups.
The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Union Education Ministry provided the guidelines for the event held which was also a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Several female entrepreneurs have shared their experiences during the event. Ritika who is an entrepreneur and started her venture Craft Edge stated that establishing ventures and start-ups provide a great impact on women's empowerment. Despite facing a number of challenges both socially and financially like making her family understand, marketing her products, and collecting funds for her venture she finally established a good business that also employed several other females. The artisans of the state have become financially independent by connecting with her venture.
Ritika even stated that in the big cities like Patna Haat, Delhi Haat, and Gaya throughout the country she has made more than 10 stalls of handicrafts and Madhubani paintings. She has been provided financial support for her start-ups from various governmental schemes.
