BRICS CCI WE hosts 4th Annual Summit Felicitating Notable Women

The Women Empowerment vertical of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BRICS CCI WE, hosted the 4th Annual Summit and Felicitations, an inclusive event that honored women's achievements with an emphasis on Women-led Development in India's G20 Presidency and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of promoting diversity at all areas along with positive change in the society. "The Changing Narrative: Women Development to Women-led Development" was the theme of the event.

The report titled "New Era of BRICS: Horizons in Tech and Business for Women Empowerment" was released by BRICS CCI WE and highlighted the technological and entrepreneurial advancement for women in the BRICS nations. It mentioned the shift from only women's development to women-led development. acknowledging women as proactive change agents paving the way for their and the community's development.

Prominent delegates and diplomats from a number of nations, including Belarus, Gambia, Angola, Chad, Comoros, Venezuela, Cuba, Costa Rica, Brazil, South Africa, and Iran, graced the summit. Dr. Sonal Mansingh, a member of the Rajya Sabha parliament and Padma Vibhushan awardee appeared as the chief guest. Ajay Chaudhary, IPS; Amb. Sanjay Bhattacharyya (Retd.), a former BRICS Sherpa and Secretary of the Government of India; Swati Singh, former Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare, and Shazia Ilmi, National Spokesperson of BJP were among the prominent speakers.

Further, Poonam Dhillon, an accomplished actor, entrepreneur, and politician, received the BRICS CCI WE Trailblazer Lifetime Achievement award for her career in empowering women across various sectors. Other notable emerging women entrepreneurs were felicitated during the summit for their contributions to entrepreneurship.
