Australian Toll Road Operator Transurban Appoints Michelle Jablko as new CEO

Transurban, Australia's largest toll road operator, has appointed Michelle Jablko as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This appointment follows her three years as the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and comes as outgoing CEO Scott Charlton prepares to retire in October.
Michelle Jablko's extensive experience encompasses more than 20 years in investment banking and commercial law in addition to her five years as ANZ's CFO. Her hire brings the number of female CEOs among Australia's top 20 companies to seven from the existing six. Some prominent recent hires include Fiona Hick at Fortescue Metals, Leah Weckert at Coles, and Vicki Brady at Telstra.
The future CEO of Transurban will be Michelle, who said, "I'm thrilled to be appointed as Transurban's next CEO and I don't take the trust placed in me by the Board lightly." While appreciating the dedication of the current staff and their positive impact on Australian and American cities, she stressed her commitment to fulfilling the needs of these developing metropolitan regions.
