At CNBC-TV18's IBLA 2022 Avani Lekhara receives Sports Leader of the Year Award

At the CNBC-TV18's corporate awards ceremony, India Business Leader Awards 2022 Avani Lekhara received an award in the Sports Leader of the year category.

At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics Avani Lekhara’s double feat catapulted her to national fame. Firing her way to the top of the podium in the R-2 women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event she is the first Indian woman to win Gold at the Paralympics.

Avani also joined Joginder Singh Sodhi, who won three medals at the 1984 Games. After winning a 50-metre rifle event in February 2019 in the UAE She qualified for the Paralympics. She has been winning medals of all hues for Rajasthan Starting from her first National Shooting Championship in 2015.

Avani says she drew inspiration from Abhinav Bindra’s autobiography A Shot at History. Her achievements have inspired many from Rajasthan.
