Asian Games 23: Jyothi Vennam & Aditi Swami to Win Silver in Archery

Aditi Swami, present world champion, and top-seeded player Jyothi Surekha Vennam has advanced to the Asian Games semifinals of the women's compound individual event. India hopes to clinch a silver medal in the archery competition due to their victories.

Aditi Swami, the fourth-seeded player in the competition has showcased her phenomenal accuracy by missing just one point out of 15 shots, ultimately defeating Amaya Amparo Cojuangco of the Philippines 149-146 in the quarterfinal match.

A World Cup medalist who has grabbed numerous medals and also the top-seeded player in the competition, Jyothi Surekha Vennam has shown off her skills by defeating Kazakhstan's Adel Zhexenbinova, the ninth-seeded player with a scoreline of 147-144 in the quarterfinals.

Aditi and Jyothi both archers have shown exceptional performance in the Asian Games 2023 and have guaranteed India's participation in the eighth archery competition including two individual sections.

They faced off against each other in the semifinals this year where Aditi Swami defeated Jyothi Vennam in the senior world champion title in Berlin.
