Asian Games 2023: India clinches Silver in Women's 4*400m relay

India's women's 4×400m relay team took second place with a silver medal on Wednesday at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
Indian athletes Aishwarya Mishra, Subha Venkatesan, Prachi, and Vithya Ramraj made up the team which finished in second position with a time of 3:27:85 behind Bahrain, which beat India's previous Asian Games record of 3:28:68 set in 2014.
Since 2002, the Indian women's 4×400m relay team has taken Gold at the Asian Games.
In the women's 800m race, India's Harmilan Bains also grabbed a silver on Wednesday, taking home two medals from the Asian Games. The athlete finished in the second position with a race time of 2:03:75. Tharushi Dissanayaka of Sri Lanka, who finished off with 2:03:20, won the gold. Chunyu Wang of China won the bronze medal with a time of 2:03:90. Harmilan had previously achieved silver in the women's 1500m race at the Asian Games 2023.
