Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu plans to expand work-from-home (WFH) opportunities, particularly for women professionals, as part of the state's IT & GCC Policy 4.0. He believes remote work can empower businesses and employees and that flexible work options will increase workforce participation, especially among women.
On the occasion of 'International Day of Women and Girls in Science,' CM Chandrababu shared a post on LinkedIn highlighting the transformative potential of remote work and the state's commitment to fostering employment models. He mentioned, "I am confident these initiatives will foster greater workforce participation, especially of women professionals, who will benefit through flexible remote/hybrid work options."
On the ongoing argument about work-life balance versus working 70 to 90 hours a week, CM's comments highlight the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on modern employment structures and emphasize the importance of remote work, co-working spaces, and neighborhood workspaces in achieving work-life balance. He mentioned, "Concepts such as remote work, coworking spaces, and Neighbourhood Workspaces can empower business and employees alike to create flexible, productive work environments."
Andhra Pradesh's CM Naidu outlined incentives for IT office spaces, aiming to generate employment and encourage women's workforce participation. Policy 4.0 is a game-changing step towards a better work-life balance in the state.
